e-Servicing System for the Insurers referred to as “EDAS” is a new possibility of cooperation offered by the State Social Insurance Fund Board under the Ministry of Social Security and Labour (“Sodra”) to the insurers (persons obliged to pay the state social insurance contributions) since January 2008.
“EDAS” allows the insurers to submit the social insurance references and applications electronically, as well as to get information from the database of “Sodra”.
The project of the development and implementation of “EDAS” is largely funded by the European Union structural funds.
Advantage for All
The new system allows the insurers to save their own time and decrease material expenses related to the preparation and submission of information to “Sodra”. There is no need to constantly carry the paper references or applications to the territorial offices of “Sodra”; you will be able to do this electronically, without leaving your own workplace. Using the new system, the insurers will be able to form and submit electronic reports on personal social insurance and present applications as documents having legal power. It will be possible to get information from the database of “Sodra” electronically. Hopefully, the insurers will be able to pay more attention to their activity priorities, as the new system will help them save time and resources which previously were attributed to preparation and submission of the social insurance reports to the territorial offices of “Sodra”.
The system will improve the work efficacy of “Sodra”, as electronically submitted data will automatically reach the information system of “Sodra”. After automation of the information admission, the processes and procedures for connecting to the database, the controls over payments of the state social insurance contributions and assessment of indebtedness will be improved, as well. An operative entering of data into the information system will also ensure a proper and timely transfer of pension contributions to the pension funds managed by the pension accumulation companies, as well as fair and timely payments of all kinds of state social insurance benefits.
